My last blog post on here was back in May, and at the time we were looking at a lot about 5 minutes down the road.

That didn't work out, but it's probably for the better, as we found a 7 acre lot with a house, a barn, a dog kennel (a concrete storage building with lots of doggy-doors), and a machine shed. It needs quite a bit of work, and we're going to be rolling some of the repair work into our loan for purchasing the property--but it's going to be years before we finally finish all the various projects we want to tackle to fix this house up.

But, we've now got our existing property to sell! This house has worked out great for us, and we hope that it can be a great blessing to somebody else. We're pricing our house to sell or rent as quickly as we can.

It’s a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath rancher, with ~1150 finished square feet on a 7000 square foot lot. Laminate flooring throughout. One car garage, off-street parking, ~80 square foot shed in fenced back yard, which backs to a huge field . Very convenient for shopping in the Charles Town/Ranson area; we’ve got just about everything less than 15 minutes away. For rent at $1050/month or for sale at $149,000.

This house has been great for us starting out as a young family. We’ve got three little girls and the fenced back yard has been great for the kids and our dog to have a place to play without worrying about them running off. Even though the lot is small, the huge, ~110 acre field behind our house makes it seem like you have a lot more space. The girls have loved getting to see the big farm equipment come by each fall to harvest the crops (we’ve had corn, soybean, and wheat).
